LAZY DAYS!!

Not sure what happened to my original post for today....

Hayley and I had a lazy day today. She was so off schedule yesterday that I decided to stay at home and let her get her rest. She is finally picking up a consistent skd that usually begins at 7 AM and ends at 10 PM. Hope I dont jinx that tonight!!
Nana and Poppa came to see her this afternoon. She was such a good girl and provided them with a lot of smiles. Nana even got to hold her! I know Hayley loved it. After she ate her 7PM bottle we headed out for dinner at a Mexican Restaurant (Marks favorite). We met Grams and Gramps and Heather and Chris. Hayley was such a good girl. She played with Aunt Heather and then fell asleep. She loves to be around people and noise!!

Well I am exhausted and I think I will take advantage of my sleep night! (Mark has duty tonight).

SCHOOLS OUT!!

Today Hayley and I met Aunt Lisa, Mark and Maggie for lunch at Chick-Fil-A before Maggie's swimming lesson. We had a really good time. Hayley was on her best behavior! She smiled a lot at the kids and Aunt Lisa. Aunt Lisa was able to hold her and feed her!! What a treat!! I know Hayley loved it! It was great to see the kids and hang out with Lisa. I hope we get to do it more often. Soon the kids will be going in so many different directions. Mark was talking about playing football in the fall (SCARY) and Maggie showed me the bag she made and her artwork from school. She talked about her new Barbie Jeep and how it has a real radio in it. Mark was excited that it could get 94.9 (THE BRAVES) and is excited about it picking up the UGA games. I am not at all surprised...he takes after his uncle!! Well Hayley is asleep from her long day...(she didnt get as many naps as she should have). I am going to go enjoy a quiet dinner with my husband!

Memorial Day Weekend

It has been such a fun and relaxing weekend. It has been nice having Mark home for three days! I know he loves his new bankers hours!! Yesterday we went down to my parents house for Low Country Boil!!! It sure was delicious! Hayley also got a new toy to play with!! She loves her new walker. She is only four months, but she is so strong, we figured we would let her try it out. She can go backwards but not forwards! She loves having her independence. It made her so happy last night that she told us about it for at least an hour! She babbled non stop!! Mark and I were so tickled! We just couldnt believe she had so much to say! Guess she is going to take after her two Aunts (Lisa and Heather). We didnt do much today, except for lay around the house and watch daddy cut grass and plant a few things. I am still fighting a terrible cold and praying that Hayley doesnt get it!

BIRTHDAY FUN

Today was Hayley's cousin Maggie's birthday party (Mark's sister's little girl). She turned four on the 21st. Her party was held at a pavillion in her neighborthood. It was a beautiful day to be outside. The sun was shining and there was a nice breeze. They had an inflatable waterslide which looked like tons of fun. Even Mark went down a few times. Unfortunately, Hayley was too small to try it out, but it will only be a matter of time before she is running around with all of them. I forgot to bring my camera, so I dont have pictures of all the kids, but I did manage to take Hayley's in her hat when we got home which I will post soon. She was such a good girl!! She loves being outside and the fresh air really tires her out! She has been sleeping for almost 2 hours straight now (which is a nice b/c her mommy is sick with a cold)! Well I am going to go try and catch a quick nap myself!!

First Timer

Well, this is my first blog! I am not really sure what I am doing so bare with me! A good friend of mine started this and I have decided to hop onboard. I am now officially a stay at home mom and decided this would be a good way to express myself...(other than baby babble that usually goes on all day long). Dont get me wrong, it is very exciting to talk to my little girl..but as you other mothers out there know, it is nice to have adult communication.

A little bit about me......

As I said above, I am a new mom!! I absolutely love the JOB!!! I feel so very blessed that God has allowed me this opportunity. It is an amazing task and much harder than I ever thought it would be, but to be rewarded on a daily basis is something that I cherish. I have wandered through this life so far always searching for what it was GOD really wanted me to do, and after having Hayley, I know that I was meant to be a mom!! She is the best thing that has ever happened to me...(aside from meeting my incredible husband). I have a very loving, supportive and incredibly helpful husband. We married five years ago on the 31st. It truly was love at first sight. He is the most amazing man and person I have ever met. I love him with all of my heart. I am so excited that we are raising the family we have always wanted, together!

As I said before, I just quit my job of 12 years. I guess you could call it a career, but to me...it was just a job. I am relieved to break free of the chains of the airline industry. It just isnt the same as it once was...and probably will never be again. I leave behind wonderful friends....they became my second family. I will be greatful for the relationships I formed, and for the experiences.

Well I better not use all of my "free time" for blogging!! The baby is asleep and this is the perfect time to get cleaned up!!! Ta Ta for now!

About Me

I live in GA with my husband of almost nine years and our two slittle girl. I am a stay at home mom and have found this job to be the hardest thing that I have ever done! I think that I struggle everyday, hoping that I am doing everything right and that they will grow up with ethics, morals and respect for herself and other people. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also love to read and often rely on it to escape and keep my sanity.
